Seals
A seal is a ring captured in a groove to control fluid leakage in reciprocating and rotary motion applications. Seals can be made from a variety of materials such as polyurethane, rubber or PTFE. The type of material is determined by the specific operating conditions or limits due to fluid type, pressure, fluid chemical compatibility or temperature. A static seal is located in a groove and sees no movement acting like a gasket.|
Rod Seals
A rod seal is a dynamic seal on its inner diameter along the shaft or rod of a cylinder.

Piston Seals
A piston seal is a dynamic seal on its outer diameter along the tube or bore of a cylinder.
|
Wipers
A wiper is a device used to exclude contaminants from entering the cylinder as the rod retracts.
|
Wear Rings
Wear rings are bearing devices designed to hold the rod or piston in line with the direction of motion.
