Fluorocarbon 90 is a better suited to handle tough environments, may it be a tough chemical or temperature setting.  Fluorocarbon 90 performs well in mediums where use of a nitrile O-ring would normally result in seal failure.  Such environments are: solvents, acids/bases, and ozone.
